📖 OCTOBER SPIRITUAL EMPHASIS

FULFILLING YOUR GOD-GIVEN PURPOSE

Walking Worthy of Your Calling

Ephesians 4:1 (KJV)

“I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called.”

✝️ PASTORAL ENCOURAGEMENT

God bless you, Unity Christian Fellowship family!

As we continue our journey through October, I want to remind you that God has not simply called you to exist. God has called you to fulfill a purpose.

There is a difference between knowing that you have a calling and walking worthy of that calling.

God has entrusted each of us with gifts, abilities, opportunities, and responsibilities. However, we must ask ourselves whether we are developing and using those gifts according to His will.

Purpose Requires Obedience

Your calling requires commitment. Your purpose requires obedience. Your assignment requires faithfulness.

We must never confuse being busy with being obedient to God.

It is possible to participate in many activities while neglecting the very assignment God has entrusted to us.

All Things Work Together for Good

Romans 8:28 reminds us:

“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”

Notice that Scripture does not say everything that happens is good.

Instead, it teaches us that God works through circumstances for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose.

Therefore, we must examine our relationship with God and our willingness to walk in His calling.

Our Online Ministry Has Purpose

Unity Christian Fellowship did not begin with the intention of becoming an online church.

However, God placed this direction upon the pastor’s heart, and we responded.

Today, our ministry can reach people beyond the walls of a traditional church building.

Sometimes God changes our methods without changing our mission.

Our assignment remains to proclaim the Gospel, encourage believers, and help people discover their God-given purpose.

A Question for Every Believer

Am I doing what God has called me to do?

Am I using the gifts He has entrusted to me?

Am I allowing distractions to interfere with my calling?

Am I seeking God’s approval or the applause of others?

As we continue through this week, may we commit ourselves to faithful obedience.

Discover your purpose. Develop your gifts. Walk in your calling. Fulfill your assignment.

God bless you!
